Permeable ceramic paving
Red-body stoneware · 300 × 50 × 60 mm module · SUDS
What is Drainker?
Each module is made up of four red-body stoneware ceramic pieces, manufactured by pressing, with relief patterns on their front and back faces, and assembled with an environmentally friendly adhesive.
Thanks to its permeability and its resistance to transverse breaking (class T4), it is suited to low-load outdoor paving: pedestrian areas, squares, pavements and car parks, where rainwater should infiltrate through the paving itself rather than run off into the sewer network.

Drainker · permeable ceramic paving in red-body stoneware
Sustainable Urban Drainage System
Drainker forms part of a SUDS: a ceramic paving that allows rainwater to pass through the surface, with a permeability of over 25,000 mm/h.
Experimental product: as it is not covered by existing standards, it has been characterised using the standards for clay pavers and ceramic tiles, and with test methods developed for the project.

A permeable ceramic paving designed to improve rainwater management in urban environments, forming part of a Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS).
Four pressed red-body stoneware ceramic pieces, with relief patterns on their front and back faces, assembled with an environmentally friendly adhesive. The module measures approximately 300 × 50 × 60 mm and weighs around 2.1 kg.
Its permeability exceeds 25,000 mm/h according to the NLT-327/00 test.
Yes: its slip resistance is Rd > 45, Class 3 according to UNE 41901:2017 EX and the Spanish Building Code (CTE DB SUA).
Yes, it is freeze/thaw resistant according to UNE-EN ISO 10545-12:1997.
As an experimental product, permeable ceramic modules are not covered by existing standards. They have therefore been characterised using the standards for clay pavers and ceramic tiles and, for properties not covered by them, specific test methods, at the laboratories of the Ceramic Technology Institute (ITC) as part of the DRAINKER project (INNVA1/2022/12).
